My primary bug in location is situated in an area that is considerably far from where I presume “ground zero” would be, whether it’s foreign invasion, civil unrest (civil war), or nuclear attack.
My primary goal is to construct a fully equipped fallout shelter with enough resources for the entire family i.e. clean drinking water, plenty of non-perishable food, means of protection, and a good stockpile of medical supplies. All this in addition to the nbc air filter, backup generator, osmosis water filter, garden, etc.

Practice makes perfect. No amount of gear matters in the slightest if you’re not educated on how to use it. Step one of my survival guide is to read and learn. Preparedness is about knowledge. Practical application commits knowledge to memory. I will work to gather the reading material and develop a strategy to practice so that what is taught is learned and what is learned is retained.
